Schecter Damien 6 – A Guitar for Rock With

Built on Schecter’s famous and classic “C” styled body, the Schecter Damien 6 is a fascinating hard-rock guitar that sounds as cool as it looks in its satin black color. Based on the new humbucker pickups, the “EMG-H4” bridge and “EMG-H4A” neck passive, this latest model of Schecter guitars produces stable and high-pitched tones. The black ‘bat’ inlays definitely portray it as a hard rock guitar.

 Basic Features

The general assembly of the Schecter Damien 6 includes an arched basswood body, a bolt-on rock maple neck with 25.5 inch scale, extra-jumbo frets, the rosewood fingerboard, and the EMG H4/H4A Bridge and neck passive humbucker pickups.

Let’s take a look at its basic functioning through its main parts and sections.

Basswood Body

The Schecter Damien 6 has a basswood body. It provides good quality of sound and clarity. Moreover, the addition of the maple neck adds to its resonance, which is explained below.

Rosewood Fingerboard

The fingerboard of Schecter Damien 6 is made up of rosewood. This wood has the special characteristic of naturally producing oil. By using this self-lubricating mechanism, it diminishes strayed tunes that are absorbed into the oily pores of the rosewood. Thus, this process helps in producing clearer tones.

Maple Neck

It has a strong and stable maple neck which is less reactive to environmental changes. In addition to this, its surface is highly reflective making it appear more shiny, attractive and solid. It also enhances the overall tone of the Schecter Damien 6 and makes it appear as a mahogany guitar body.
Rotomatic Grover Tuners

The unique feature that differentiates the Schecter Damien 6 from the other models of Schecter guitar models is the availability of ‘Grover tuners’. It has an enhanced gear ratio of 18:1 which produces finer tuned and stable rhythms. It also produces a lower degree of backlash, thereby enhancing its maintenance and sustainability.

EMG H4 Bridge Pickup

The other unique feature of the Schecter Damien 6 is the EMG H4 bridge pickup. It produces stable tones by merging the active 81 with the passive PAF power notes. The assembly of ‘ceramic bar’ wounded by coil prevents noise from mixing into output generated tunes. Thus, this electromagnetic process helps in producing stable bass, smooth mids and intense yet fine high tones.

EMG H4A Neck Pickup

The EMG H4A neck pickup is the key component that produces versatile tones with solid bass, distinct mids and fat high tones. It has an ‘alnico V bar’ magnet assembly wounded by vintage coils, which minimizes noise intervention.

In short, the Schecter Damien 6 provides you with utmost ease in producing stable, finest and versatile hard-rock tunes. The reliability, distinct features and affordable price assure you to try out producing rock music through this stylish Schecter guitar model.

Schecter Hell Raiser Electric Guitar Review

As the name depicts, the Schecter hell raiser is one of its kind. This finely shaped, classic and famous Schecter electric guitar lets you rock music with ease of use and peace of mind. Available in different models, the Schecter hell raiser lets you choose the required model based on varying pickups.

Schecter Hell Raiser C-Series

The Schecter hell raiser C–series is one of its popular models. This series is comprised of different structures based on varying number of strings, namely, the hell raiser C-1, extreme C-1, C-7 (7-strings) and C-8 (8-strings) models. Apart from different pickups, each model has similar entities such as made from finest tone-wood, active EMG humbucking pickups, Floyd rose whammy system and Schecter locking tuners.

Schecter Hell Raiser C-1

It is constructed with a mahogany body and a 3 piece, 25.5 inch maple neck providing maximum ease in holding. The 24 X-jumbo frets on the rosewood fingerboard are used to generate stable tones by absorbing the strayed ones. It employs ‘Grover’ tuners and a T-O-M bridge with a 3-way switch. It’s active EMG 81T, and EMG 89R pickups provide clear aggressive tones and custom outputs respectively. The “Gothic Cross” inlay portrays it exactly as its name depicts. It is available in 3 colors i.e. cherry black, white and plain black.

Schecter Hell Raiser Extreme C-1

The Schecter Hell Raiser Extreme C-1 includes Schecter locking tuners which lock the required string to provide greater stability and clearer output. It contains two different fingerboards, the ‘ebony’ and flamed maple’. Each can be used depending upon your choice of maple top you prefer. It uses EMG active 81 and 89R black chrome covered pickups. The former pickup operates on the single ceramic magnet coil while the later one is operated by dual coil modes for generating rich, clear and sustains tones.

Schecter Hell Raiser C-7

The Schecter Hell Raiser C-7 is quite similar to the Schecter Hell Raiser Extreme C-1. It only differs in the pickups used i.e. it is operated on EMG 707TW humbucking pickups which are tappable and eliminates dull low notes. The wide aperture coil binding on Alnico-V magnet generates low notes in high and steady volume.

Schecter Hell Raiser C-8

The similar scenario exists within the Schecter Hell Raiser C-8. Apart from similar factors as that of a C-7 model, this 8-string model varies in pickups employed. The EMG 808 active humbucker pickups provide high and steady low notes on F# string. Its extra features include the 3 piece mahogany body with carbon fiber rods. The carbon fiber rods prevent its neck from twisting and also add stiffness to its overall body.

So, if you want to get crazy with the finely made and outstanding Schecter hard rock guitars, then go for this latest and classy Schecter Hell Raiser C-series.
